Welcome to Care Cadence. We are committed to protecting your personal data and respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle, secure, and delete your information when you use our website and scheduling services.

2. Information We Collect

Unlike traditional health management platforms, we do not request or store your full medical history or clinical diagnostics. We only collect the minimal parameters required to build your paced calendar:

  • Account Data: Credentials and email address managed securely via Firebase Authentication.
  • Insurance Parameters: Deductibles, out-of-pocket limits, standard benefit category maximums, and co-payment values. This can be entered manually or extracted from uploaded insurance booklets.
  • Scheduling Preferences: Selected days of availability (weekdays/weekends), regional holidays, and uploaded `.ics` calendar files (from which we only read busy/free slots to avoid scheduling conflicts).
  • Generated Plans: Automatically generated appointment dates, estimated copays, and provider names.

3. Data Security and Integrity

Your trust is our priority. We protect your data using industry-standard measures:

  • No Portal Access: We never request or store passwords to your employer or insurance provider portals.
  • Anonymized Exports: Exported calendar feeds utilize generalized event descriptions (e.g. "Care Cadence Appointment") rather than displaying specific medical details on shared calendars.
  • Encryption: All database transactions are secured using standard SSL/TLS protocols, and data rests on fully protected infrastructure.

4. Third-Party Integrations

To provide our services, we coordinate with the following trusted third-party providers:

  • Firebase: Serves as our secure authentication engine.
  • Stripe: Processes credit card checkouts and subscriptions securely. We do not store financial credentials or credit card numbers on our servers.
  • Nager.Date API: Dynamically checks public holiday calendars. No user identifiers are passed to this API.

5. User Control & Data Deletion

We believe your data belongs to you. You maintain full ownership and control:

  • Access and Updates: You can edit your benefits, plans, and family profiles at any time via your account settings.
  • Permanent Deletion: Clicking "Delete All Data & Exit" in your profile settings initiates an immediate, cascading database purge. All database records (insurance limits, generated care plans, scheduled appointments, and user profile data) are permanently deleted.
